Evolution is a niche beauty, massage and spa training provider which provides high
quality training programmes that are meeting the needs of its key stakeholders. The
small team is focused on educational performance. Investment in staffing and
resources supports the quality of the student experience. Compliance systems are
well managed. The quality of outcomes is validated through robust assessment

The Code of Pastoral Care (COPC)
New Zealand’s Education Code of Pastoral Care, which came into effect in 2022, sets out Evolution School of Beauty, Massage & Nails’ role and responsibilities in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of its ākonga (students).

As a requirement of the Code of Pastoral Care, the Evolution School of Beauty, Massage & Nails has to carry regular self-reviews to assess how well it is achieving the Code’s four outcomes. In September 2024 the School carried out its annual self-review. A summary of the review findings is in the report below
New Zealand’s Education Code of Pastoral Care, which came into effect in 2022, sets out Evolution School of Beauty, Massage & Nails’ role and responsibilities in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of its ākonga (students).

Under the Code of pastoral Care, Evolution School of Beauty, Massage & Nail’s must
- utilise a whole-of-provider approach to provide a learner wellbeing and safety system that responds to the diverse needs of its learners
- listen and respond to diverse learner voices and their wellbeing and safety needs in a way that upholds their mana and autonomy
- provide safe, inclusive, supportive, and accessible physical and digital learning environments
- support learners to manage their physical and mental health through information and advice and identify and respond to learners who need additional support.

Complaints/Disputes process
Evolution School of Beauty, Massage & Nails’ Student Handbook outlines the complaints’ process to follow to make a complaint. If the complainant subsequently feels that the complaint/dispute has not been effectively addressed by the School, then the complaint can be escalated either to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) for complaints to do with pastoral care, or to the Tertiary Education Dispute Resolution (TEDR) for contractual or financial disputes. Information on these processes are available in the Student Handbook.
